Works great and can be used when you only have one free hand. I recommend buying more of these than you think you need, as they're very handy to have around, and you always need more clamps than you think you do.

I am just starting out building small furniture (magazine rack, shoe rack, kids' play table, etc.) and this works as advertised. If I need something held togther this does the job and only takes one hand to operate.

It works. What more is there to say. It's a clamp. You squeeze it and it clamps down on what you have between the pads.

Best clamp you can buy when doing furniture and setting countertops! Price is great and very easy to transfer from job to job. Highly recommend you have a few of each size.

these 1 handed clamps are great in the shop, a real must have. They don't have the gripping or holding power as the screw types but for most jobs they work great. Most of the time I position the pieces together with one hand holding the work and the other putting the quick clamp on to hold it secure enough to install the heavy duty clamps if need be. There are several compaines who sell 1 handed clamps, Irwin is just one of them. Irwin ,however, will not get any more of my money as they are one of the "sneeky" compaines. I saw the 20/20 show about compaines who use sneeky tacticts and fine print to "weed out" their rebate forms. They try to deter as many as possible from reciving their advertised sales/rebates so they can make more profit. Well Irwin is one of those companies. My suggestion is yes purchase several of these clamps just don't buy them from Irwin.

Rockwell Jawhorse RK9109 Plywood Jaw Accessory Attachment Rockwell Jawhorse RK9109 Plywood Jaw Accessory Attachment

Reviews

I nave not used this item yet, but am impressed by the quality and heavy construction of it. Always cut plywood on the ground supported by 2x4, because it was easier than setting up saw horses and getting them level. The Plywood Jaw should make it easier and save my knees and back.

Item has proved all as advertized. Excellent stability on both even and uneven surface. Ease of use outstanding. First used to join wood using plate joiner and biscuits; it held wood very firm and reduced my normal cutting time by over half. Plywood extension makes working with 4x8's so much more pleasant. Great addition to my workshop.

When I got my jawhorse I did not want to buy all the accessories for it, I wanted one accessory that with a little imagination on my part, I could modify to do several jobs. By modify I do not mean actually changing this plywood jaw, I mean figuring out ways I can get it to work as a worktable,a miter saw bench, and whatever else I can come up with. I believe I picked the right accessory here. I don't need a welding jig but I bet I could figure something out using this jaw. As I said in the title of this review if you were to buy just one accessory for the jawhorse this is the one. I see where others have downgraded their reviews of this product because it is too heavy. If you want a tool that is of good quality, and will last for years, it's going to be heavy. This plywood jaw will be around doing it's job long after I have departed this life. I'm a disabled older man and I do not think it is too heavy. I'm very impressed with the quality of it. I knew it would be good when I got it but it turned out even better than I was expecting.

Adds the ability to work with full size plywood sheets. Well worth the investment!

I bought this for my husband to use with his Jawhorse because he is always cutting plywood for one project or another. He is always wanting me to hold the plywood while he cuts or he is out there trying to hold the plywood with one hand and/or knee while he tries to cut with the saw with the other hand. Meanwhile, it is sliding one way or another or the board is bending or the saw is jamming while he is trying to cut. Not any more! With the Jawhorse Playwood Jaw Accessory Attachment, he can tighten the plywood down and is free to cut using both hands on the saw. No sliding, bending, or saw getting jammed. He can cut a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet without my help. He does use other saw horses to hold the board up sometimes but he doesn't have to because of the tightening handle that he just pumps with his foot to get the plywood nice and tight in the vice. What a great addition to his Jawhorse!

Average Rating:

The plywood jaw adapts the Jawhorse workbench for large sheet goods up to 52 wide. Outriggers are required for sheets up to 4 wide. For sheets wider than 4, outriggers with support legs are needed. The plywood jaw includes brackets to make these supports simply with basic 2 x 4 lumber.

I have bought the jawhorse 3 weeks ago and already pit it to work on installing doors paonting doors stripping doors and windows.Plannind a door. sanding windows..That tool is great love it it would a beautiful gift to somebody......The clamping force is insane...very easy to use.. already assemble... open the box setit up and ready to go....love that toollllllllllll

So far I've used my Jawhorse mainly for cutting up firewood (big and small) using this Log Jaw Accessory Attachment. (It was others' positive reviews that helped me decide to try the Jawhorse.) It is a great device...heavy duty and well made...worth the money. Replaces flimsy wooden saw horses and folds up nicely for transport to the woods in the front end loader of my tractor. (Rockwell should be advertising this more.) Not cheap but fairly priced. The jaws stay clamped, even on the large logs. If you place the log on it right, (balanced in the middle) you can cut up the entire log in one cutting, saving time. And, whoever designed the foot clamp control did it right.

I haven't used the log jaw accessory as of yet simply because one of the yellow plastic nuts didn't have a threaded insert. If I wanted to use it, I'd have to improvise with some kind of nut. I emailed the company regarding the problem and they said they could help, but haven't heard a thing from them.

This is a handy accessory. I don't have logs to clamp but there are many more uses besides logs.

Ordered this for my husband, he saw it on TV and had to have it. Stores easier than saw horses and is amazing. Does all they advertise it to do. Heavy, but that is what makes it so sturdy and durable, I guess.

Delta 20-619 6-Inch Drill Press Vise Delta 20-619 6-Inch Drill Press Vise

Reviews

THE QUALITY OF THIS VISE IS GOOD, HOWEVER YOU WOULD THINK SINCE IT'S A DELTA, AND MY DRILL PRESS IS A DELTA, THEY WOULD BE 100% COMPATIBLE! THEY ARE NOT. YOU WILL NEED THIS VISE, BUT WILL FIND THAT IN SOME APPLICATIONS THE SLOTS DO NOT MATCH THE DRILL PRESS. USING A WIDE-JAW WELDING TYPE VISE GRIP WORKS PRETTY WELL TO STABILIZE THIS VISE. YOU WILL ALSO NEED BOLTS AND WING NUTS, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED.

I bought this for the DELTA 17-959L 17-Inch Laser Crosshair Drill Press knowing it wasn't intended to work with it but I assumed that with some modifications it would. I cut/ground out the slot divider on the vise base so there is one long slot per side and then added some 1/2" bolts and large wingnuts to clamp it to the drill press table. With these modifications it works fine with the listed press.

I have used the small, three inch drill press vice, for years. This larger vice improves safety (flanges closer to the edge of the table are easier to clamp), versatility (wider jaws allow more room for stops, jigs, spacers, etc.), capacity, speed (the quick-nut works great)and is still small enough to move/store easily.

This device is a great addition to my shop! It goes well with my free-standing 16-1/2" drill press; it may be too big for most bench top drill presses. Below is information that will let you judge if this vise will work for you. It is 9-3/4" long x 8-7/8" wide. The bottom of the jaws sits 1-5/8" above the drill press table. The jaws themselves are 1-1/2" high x 5-7/8" wide. You probably will want a wood block on the jaws. To accommodate this there are two ΒΌ" holes spaced 3-5/8" apart. Regarding the quick release screw, a 30 degree five tooth nut segment engages the screw. It has a pivot arranged such that when you tighten it, the threads on the nut bite into the screw. You can rotate the nut away from the screw and slide the jaw forward or back. If the jaw is away from the work, you can also push on the screw with the nut down and the jaw will ratchet forward with ease. The unit comes well packaged. Amazon had the box the vise came in packed in another box. The vise was in a plastic bag inside the box. The bare metal on the vise is protected with an oil coating which needs to be removed before the unit is used.

Let me start off by saying that when I bought this product, I knew it would not fit my 12" drill press. I like a challenge so I got it and found if I drilled and tapped the base it becomes easily adjustable and works just fine. Drilling and tapping the base makes adjustments of the vice easy and say I like this setup better than one that would have just bolted on. Tapping the holes means I dont have a bolt and nut to contend with, just two bolts (that is all I really needed) and 20 seconds to get everything where I need it and one hand tightening is great. I can't complain for the price and this will probably bolt right onto a taller floor standing model base.

Average Rating:

For safer and more accurate drilling, the DELTA 20-619 6-inch Drill Press Vise lets you clamp the materials you're working on securely to your workbench. With a quick release that lets you adjust to various sized workpieces with a quick and simple sliding of a tightening screw, you'll be able to get things done faster...
